Watch: Be Original Americas 2024 Annual Meeting

On February 6th, we came together for the first time in 4 years for our 2024 Annual Meeting in New York City, to share what the organization has done over the last 4 years, and more importantly, what’s on the horizon.

Highlights included the announcement of a new bi-monthly Trademark & IP email series by Stacy Grossman, the organization's IP attorney that will offer valuable insights into trademarks and intellectual property starting March 6th. (Don’t forget to sign up for our newsletter if you haven’t already.) Stacy will also provide members a one-time 30-minute consultation and an overview of Trademark & IP information in the new member Tool Kit.

Plans to revive in-person U.S. Customs & Border Protection port training sessions were announced, aiming to fortify protection for members' copyrighted and trademarked products. If you have a copyright/trademarked product and want to participate, please contact karen@bdeandco.com

The newly appointed Committees, which will drive the organization forward were also announced, focusing on Advocacy & Education, Community & Promotion, and Membership & Fundraising.

Education initiatives, including panels and workshops, were unveiled, promising enriching opportunities for learning and growth. Upcoming events and education opportunities include workshops at SCAD’s Atlanta and Savannah campuses in April, the student Mentor Program at ICFF/WantedDesign, and several other member events in the spring and fall. Anyone wishing to participate please contact info@beoriginalamericas.com.

Getting involved was clearly explained and the response from those in attendance was inspiring.   If you want to discuss social media collaborations, contact jess@bdeandco.com or if you’re interested in holding an event, please contact beth@bdeandco.com.
